Philc43 recommendation may fix the problem. So let's give that time to pan out. In case it does not the WPR has two methods. One is to activate at the time of the problem. The other is to have it run continuously and then analyze the recordings. Unfortunately the size of the file becomes huge making it difficult for posting and having others make the analysis. So you could change the logging level to light and change the logging mode to file. The problem that you posted was not related to boot (please comment if you are having boot problems) so for performance scenario choose general.

I have attempted to use wpr to try to capture 3 occurrences of this issue and it hasn't saved any files. i don't think I'm going to be able to get any data with this tool sadly. its there something else i can try to do to resolve this? I'm able to get the system to perform the action now when i do Gpu stress testing pretty consistently.

Is the problem that the WPR is started after the event rather than before the event? How come there are no files?

i start the recording, then run the stress test, then the system powers off and restarts. i would only be guessing but when the event happens because the system doesn't have time to save the file could be the reason that it isn't actually saving the data. I'm not at my computer currently but as soon as i get back ill check to see if im missing something

The challenge with WPR is finding someone trained to interpret them.
In your case I think you should perform these wpr so that when someone is found you can post them:
    General
    Boot
    Shutdown
    Reboot cycle
    Hibernate /resume

After you complete the tracings please view this link and place your computer in clean boot.
If you have any issues with connecting to the internet (unlikely), change clean boot to selective boot. That is only checking the service that is needed for the internet.

What we want to know is are you having or not having hard restarts when in clean boot.

Gathering the different WPR Logs as we speak. I have done the clean boot before and it worked just fine until I started the GPU stress test. Once I did that is when it did its hard reset.

It does look more like a hardware problem. Some things to check:

    1. Is the GPU seated properly in its slot?
2 Are all the power connections to the GPU properly inserted?
    3. Have you checked all the connections from the PSU to the motherboard are properly made?
    4. What temperatures are reached on the GPU, CPU, hard disks and MB? Use Speccy or HW Monitor.
    5. Do you have another slot you can test the GPU in?
    6. Make sure there is no overclocking set in the BIOS

Were you able to uninstall and reinstall software/applications/driver associated with Cosair? CorsairLink4.Service.exe
Do you know the application related to: GalaxyClient Helper.exe
Please uninstall and reinstall the software/application related to it.
