Okay. No rush, but when you get a chance, open Defender and in the History tab, select Quarantined Items (or All Detected Items), and select to "show", widen the Detected Item column all the way to show everything, and post a screenshot of that window please.

Defender is disabled right now because Avast is on the system, so don't do this until after the Avast scan has run; you may find you have to uninstall Avast to get Defender to open up. If so, save your Avast settings so you can easily put them back when you reinstall. (I think it's Settings>General, all the way at the bottom.)

EDIT: This one, being in the temporary internet files folder, is very suspect and likely was your problem.

  2. Ok Will do, and thanks so much already, that might be a while though for the last part, this scan isn't gonna be too quick lol, with main 2tb drive, and external 500gb drive, might be a bit, *note external not connected all the time, just was when I decided to run scan last night and this morning*

Well Eset got to the end of the scan, showed Infected Files 2, and screen just went white, so probably gonna crash again, like it did before I posted this.

    Yup stopped working again

Sorry - ESET seem to be having problems lately; you're not the only one.
See if you can run the scan only on memory, and it will finish quickly, and then maybe you can get to the quarantine.

A shame, really. Without knowing what it quarantined, we can't make well-informed decisions. *Sad
[/quote] That's good news. How is the system running now? Everything okay?

  9. CPU Usage with all my usual programs open now, 25 percent, Memory 65 percent in use, not bad at all, Usual Programs open are MS Edge, Skype Preview, and Firestorm (3rd party Secondlife viewer), all in all seems to be back to normal, not 100 percent sure what was causing the High System CPU Usage yesterday, but not seeing it tonight, this morning did a little bit, but all the other scans show clean, Malwarebytes, RKill, TDSSkiller, Avast, only one that showed 2 infected that I couldn't find names for was Eset Online scan

I'll Run the Cleanup items probably tomorrow, as soon it will be time to sleep, or I can possibly run those via Remote Desktop thru phone later if like

Good to hear. Tomorrow's fine. Seriously consider switching your main browser to Firefox, and setting it up for better protection than you can get with Edge and IE, okay? *Wink

Oh yeah, don't forget the Defender quarantine info.

  11. Ok will think about it, been using IE since version 4.0, so will be adjustment for me for sure, but will think about using Firefox for first time ever if I do that, right now not sure, as I used IE for so long, hard for me to change, but will seriously consider it this time.

Yes Defender Quarantine info will get, will have to uninstall Avast to get that though it looks like, will backup Avast settings first, then take care of that probably tomorrow morning I think, Yes been using Avast since 2006 here, on all the systems in the household, (free edition) For a while did have Defender running, Mbae, Malwarebytes Free, some reason I switched back, maybe cause of phone was still using Avast Mobile Security, and my brain decided to make Desktops use same version

Firefox can be setup to look almost the same as IE - you'll love it once you try it and never go back.

  15. Yes preparing to now, backing up personal documents, pictures, and some bought mp3 files, hopefully doesn't spread to External drive while I do the backups, it's quarantined right now, no other programs see any other threats at the moment.
