    For the past two days, certain keys on my computer don't respond to what keys I press. At first, when I would type a random key [M key for example], my keyboard would input a weird combination of letters [like "MN6" in this case]. I tried to search for a solution but I decided to find a solution the next day. The next day, I couldn't even get pass the login screen on my computer because several of my keys went from inputting a random combination of characters, to simply not responding when I try to press them.     Are you only using the hook to catch the key to use for sending input?

    I can think of a couple ways to grab input without the hook. Maybe you can run through the virtual key list with GetAsyncKeyState() and flag what's pressed. From there you can just build your list of keys to mash and fire them off with SendInput(). Some food for thought, probably get you out of AV flag territory.

    Does it stop right at the Toshiba logo and sit there? Will it sit forever til you press a key, or will it eventually work after so long?

    I realize that you are facing the issue with the Keyboard layout in Windows 10, let me assist you.

    This issue might occur if the input method settings are not configured properly.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.




    • Press Windows key + X key and select
      Control Panel from the menu.

    • Click on Clock, Language, and Region option.

    • Click on Language and click on
      Advanced settings       in the left pane.

    • Select the required input in the drop down menu under
      Override for default input method      .

    • Click on Save.


    If the required language is not listed, follow the steps below to add the required language and then perform the above mentioned changes.




    • Press Windows key + I
      key and select Time & Language.

    • Click on Region & language in the left pane, click on
      Add a language and select the required language from the list.
