Windows 10: Computer keeps freezing and BSOD'ing whenever gaming.

Hi all.


I just build a PC with the help of some friends. The specs are as follows:


CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

MB: ASRock B450 Steel Legend

RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro

SSD: WD Blue 1 TB

Video Card: MSI Radeo RX 5600 XT

PSU: Corsair RMx 750 W


All drivers and the BIOS are up to date. I've already done a clean reinstall of Windows.

The problem:

Games will freeze while I'm playing, causing my whole computer to also freeze and suddenly BSOD. After I did the clean reinstall of Windows, it kept doing the same thing several times a day. I've been narrowing the problems down through process of elimination, but the BSODs keep happening and it's getting frustrating.


Here are some of the logs in the Event Viewer after the most recent crash:

• The previous system shutdown at 11:06:40 PM on ‎2/‎22/‎2020 was unexpected. EventLog 6008
  
• The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. Kernel-Power 41
  
• Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0 Evenlog 1101
  
• The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device ROOT\WindowsHelloFaceSoftwareDriver\0000. Kernel-PnP 219
  
• The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device HID\VID_19F7&PID_0003&MI_03&Col02\8&15ccfe91&0&0001. Kernel-PnP 219
  
• Error setting traits on Provider {8444a4fb-d8d3-4f38-84f8-89960a1ef12f}. Error: 0xC0000001 Kernel-EventTracing 28

Game Bar freezes Computer

To understand the issue better please provide us more information.

  What is the model number of the computer?
  
• 
  Which game are you trying to play?
  
• Try playing other games and check what the status is.

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. Follow the below methods.

Method 1

I recommend you to uninstall/reinstall the display driver and check. Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device manager.
  
• 
  Locate for display adapter and click on it to expand.
  
• 
  Right click on the device and click on
  uninstall.
  
• 
  Once you are done uninstalling the driver, restart the computer. It will automatically install the generic display driver.
  

If this doesn’t help to fix the issue. I suggest you to update the display driver. Skip step3 from the above steps and right click on the
device and click on update.

Method 2.

If the above method did not help to fix the issue, I would suggest you to
go to the computer manufacturer website and download the latest display adapter driver. Visit the below link:

Method 3.

For the sound issue try the below steps.

Step 1.

I suggest you to uninstall/reinstall the sound adapter driver and check.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device manager.
  
• 
  Now click on Sound, video and game controllers
  to expand, right click on the device and click on uninstall.
  
• 
  Once you are done installing the driver, restart the computer. It will automatically install the sound adapter driver.
  

If the issue still persist, try the below steps.

Step 2.

I suggest you to update the audio driver and check.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device manager.
  
• Now click on Sound, video and game controllers and right click on it and
  update the software.

Windows 10 Computer Randomly Freezes

Computer Keeps Freezing

It froze again, and the common problem I see throughout most of the freezes is a driver atksgt.sys being blocked from loading. It is related to Tages Protection from Tages SA and it says it has a driver that is installed that causes stability problems with my system. It says it will be disabled but I think this is why my pc keeps freezing. Any suggestions as to what it may be for and/or if I can get rid of it and how?

I never downloaded a program from Tages SA so I am not sure what it could be from.
