Windows 10: Computer Locks Up During Video Playback

I have a brand new Asus flipbook running Windows 10 that crashes during any kind of video playback (streaming or downloaded). I’m able to watch video for about five minutes before video and sound freezes, resulting in a loud digital buzzing noise, and can no longer operate the computer or open task manager. If I dont manually reset the computer, it evntually restarts on its own. I have exactly three pieces of third party software installed (steam, good old games, firefox), one app from the microsoft store (hulu), and the microsoft office suite. I’m up to date on all concevable software updates as of last night. I tried uninstalling flash and clearing my cache/cookies in microsoft edge before I realized that the issue also occurred with downloaded videos. Games appear to run fine, internet browser works as well. Any ideas?
