Windows 10: Computer not sleeping with second monitor plugged in

I was hoping someone might be able to shed some like on a weird quirk that I have been having and I can not for the life of me figure out how to solve this. I have a Radeon RX 570 graphics card that I run 2 monitors off of. My main display seems to function just fine where as my computer will go to sleep when it’s supposed to and all is well, but for some reason when my second display is plugged in the computer will not sleep regardless of what power settings are set. All monitors will sleep but the computer will not. I can’t find any settings that might be preventing this.

Really? I get a canned answer and nothing else? I posted that I had tried everything that I could find posted online. I did read the post that Andre suggested multiple times prior to posting this request for help. None of it helped.

My computer does not recognize that there is a second monitor is plugged in. The small step of changing the settings so I can put stuff on the second monitor ISN'T the issue. I am not that dumb. in the device manager there is only the single monitor listed
at one point there was a unknown device listed but my computer did not know if it was a monitor or a printer.

There has to be someone out there that knows how to fix this

Some of the advantages of having multiple screens (dual monitor) are it increases your productivity or it allows you to do multitasking. When awaking your PC after putting it to sleep, it will be directed at the sign in page. Normally,
the second monitor will just reflect black screen and the main monitor will reflect the sign in page. After signing in, your second monitor will automatically open if it is turned on.

If the second monitor doesn’t turn on, we recommend that you run the Power troubleshooter by following these steps:

• Click the Start button, then type Control Panel and then press
  Enter.
• Change the View by option on the top-right to Large icons.
• Click on Troubleshooting, and click on the View all option on the left pane.
• Run the Power troubleshooter.
