Windows 10: Computer properly boots, black screen after signing in

Greetings, I have Microsoft 10 Home. My computer boots up normally, but upon signing in I have a black screen with the cursor available. I can utilize CTRL+ALT+DEL to pull up the normal options, but selecting task manager does not work. Alternatively, I can sign out and return to the log in screen. I have attempted restarting the computer into safe mode and got the same result. I have hard powered off the PC, unplugged it, removed all external devices and reset the hard drive, graphics card, and memory. Booting resulted in the same result. • Are you getting black screen before sign in or after sign in?
• Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
• Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad

• From when are you facing this issue?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error message with this issue?

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ outdated display drivers on your computer.

If you are not able to boot the device to lock screen refer to: Blank or black screen before sign-in

If you are able to access/ boot the device to lock screen and then black screen issue occurs refer to:
