    Computer Reset Itself?


    Hi, I'm Emily. So apparently, yesterday my computer reset itself, I think? I had a lot of apps; FireAlpaca, games like Roblox, and apps like Discord, etc. etc. Many photos in File Explorer and downloads. All of my emails connected, also using Chrome Web Store apps Screencastify, AdBlock

    Yesterday, all my emails, photos, apps, downloads, everything was pretty much gone, except for FireAlpaca and my lockscreen. I don't know what caused this, this is my personal computer, nobody else goes on it. I don't know what happened and today it did the same thing again, after hours of trying to get everything back yesterday. Tonight I'm not going to bother in case it happens again.

    Could somebody please help and explain? I really don't know what happened, but I don't want it to continue and would really appreciate it if somebody could help. Thank you.

    Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

    One computer cannot access other network computers.


    So I've tried every troubleshooting step I know:
    • Double checked that Net Bios was enabled
    • Ran a bunch of network commands:
      • flushed DNS
      • registered dns
      • pinged and located the named computers successfully
    • Reset my router to factory settings

    Nothing works when I try to access via explorer. I'm still baffled by the fact that every other computer can access each other AND access this computer. It's just the outgoing connection from this machine that doesn't work.

    Any thoughts?
