    Hi, I'm not very knowledgeable with computers I know as much as the next guy, I just can't do stuff like command prompt so I came here to get some help with a problem I'm facing. I got locked out of my PC when rebooting in safe mode to try fixing an out-of-bounds error I experienced on two of my monitors, but when I rebooted in safe mode, it refused to let me sign in. I used every past password I've had, and even changed my hotmail/outlook password through another device, but it still won't let me in. I even tried resetting my PC but.. it still prompted me to sign in Which it refuses to let

    Email clients not remembering passwords

    Hi all

    A friends computer will not remember his gmail password. He used to use outlook, and seeing that I use thunderbird and it would be easier to troubleshoot I installed that for him. Now that was working for a few weeks, and now the same problem is occuring.

    We are 100% sure the password is correct, as we can access the email account through webmail, but the local clients will not remember the correct password. Of course the 'Remember password' button is checked, but still no good.

    It returns with incorrect password.

    Any suggestions?

    Hotmail password is incorrect

    I recently reset my Hotmail password (from my PC not my phone).



    The first time I tried to check my mail on my phone after changing my password my phone prompted me for a new Hotmail password. Expected.



    I tapped the "Show password" checkbox and typed my new Hotmail password and clicked "SignIn". The password form disappeared and I was re-directed back to my inbox where it said "Syncing". After about two seconds the password dialog reappears with the heading
    "Hotmail Password is Incorrect". If I go to my PC and log into outlook.com with the same password it works flawlessly. If I type in an incorrect password it immediately tells me the password is incorrect (i.e. it doesn't switch to the inbox and begin to
    sync).



    My mail server is currently set to blu-m.hotmail.com



    The hotmail password I specified when I originally encountered the problem was exactly 16 characters ... by mistake ... I would never have tempted fate like that. Especially if I knew what I was in for. Computer returns "Incorrect password" when I enter my hotmail password :eek:) The last password I tried is < 16 characters.

    Hotmail password is incorrect.

    I have the password for my microsoft account right in front of me and it still says hotmail password is incorrect. What is the problem here?
