  1. computer suddenly crashing seems to be related to internet usage

this problem is difficult to explain but here it goes:

My computer suddenly crashes whenever a lot of data is going into or out of it. I'm not sure if it's specific to either uploading info or downloading info but it seems to be more closely tied to downloading and it seems as if it simply runs out of some kind of space and then crashes. This happens when I'm using files from Google Drive, playing online games, and sometimes just browsing the internet. I'm using the Chrome browser. After my computer crashes I have to switch my wireless USB to a different slot for the internet to work again.
    Things I've tried:

    • All the hardware jiggling pulling out the RAM and video card and putting them back in
    • Upgrading my PSU
    • Unplugging my onboard wifi card this seemed to help but not for long
    • Reinstalling Windows
    • Removing Norton Antivirus this seemed to be a big help, the PC crashes a lot less, but still more than I like
    • Reinstalling Google Drive this also helped, after I'd removed Norton Antivirus
    • Using different browsers no change there
    • Updating my BIOS
    • Changing my power settings tried almost every possible combination at this point

I feel like I am missing something really simple and cannot find a way around it.

    :)

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
