    If you have a new TV with HDMI you could just use that , and place anywhere as your monitor.

    Your computer is already HDMI ready, $6 cable you'd be golden and wouldn't need to worry about closing rolltop.

    It's all about your vision requirement, if new glasses are required.

    You might find the TV is easier on your eyes, bigger fonts.
