    Computer will not sleep.


    The problem is solved now!
    By change the Power Options
    On the “Power Options” screen, you want to expand each setting and ensure that they allow the computer to go to sleep mode. In my case, the setting under “Multimedia settings” > “When sharing media” was set to “Prevent idling to sleep“. I had to set this to “Allow the computer to sleep“.

    I'm having the same problem.. My pc is going off to sleep but no way to put it on again, I've to restart it ..

    Hi! And, yes, I agree that driver issues with system facilities (like those that appear in the System Devices hive/folder in DevMgr) are pretty likely culprits for the symptoms that you and other posters mention. I've found the French website Station Drivers to be unusually complete in its coverage of chipset stuff, looking backward in time as well as to the latest and greatest new mobos. You might want to see if you can find some relief there.
