Windows 10: Computer will not start

I have an hp pavilion and it crashed last night with a blue screen that was cut off on the top and bottom. After waiting for a while for the problem to stop, I decided to turn it off by holding the power button. When I turned it back on, it said something like failed to load boot something, with that text and a ok box being the only thing on the screen. After I pressed enter, the computer shut itself off. I tried to turn it back on and after about 20 minutes of the hp logo with spinning dots, a blue screen appeared (this time it took up the whole screen) with a stop code of Critical_process_died. After a few hours of waiting for the percentage to go up, I again manually turned off the computer. I let it sit overnight and in the morning when I turned it on, it started to repair some drives for about 3 hours then went to a blue screen with a stop code of bad_system_config_info. After a long time of looking for solutions, I still don’t know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First rule: Determine what your needs are.
Second rule: Define your budget.
Third rule: Pick parts.
Fourth rule: Review parts several times.
Fifth rule: Buy said parts.
Sixth rule: Build it.

You are on rule/step 1. Go through the list until you're done.

 

is it possible to hand build a motherboard?

Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:

You can't do any of this until you go through the initial login. After that the steps you listed are a good start though I use the builtin Windows Defender along with Malwarebytes Anti-malware Premium and Anti-exploit. #2 is key as far as I'm concerned. I backup every Friday using Macrium reflect Pro set for 1 full and 6 incremental.
