Windows 10: computer wont cancel printing

i cant stop my printer brother MFC-j6510DW from printing,tried via printers/devices, fault symbol on printer pic & wont cancel printing

Print jobs stuck in print quese

My wife recently changed from Chrome to Firefox on her laptop. Afterward the system would hang whenever she tried to print something. I looked and it seems that jobs get stuck in the print queue after printing. There was a test page and another job. I was able to cancel the other job but the test page won't cancel. Restarting the print spool service resulted in the test page printing but remaining in the queue in printing status.

What should me next steps be?

I would suggest you check if the print spooler is running. Start/Stop print spooler service. Follow the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + R, type services.msc
  and press Enter.
  
• 
  From the list, locate Print Spooler service.
  
• 
  Double click on the service and select Stop.
  
• 
  Restart the computer, repeat step 1&2.
  
• 
  Double click on the service and check if the service is started.

I Can't Cancel My Previous Printing Jobs

To get the queue clear and your documents printing again, here's how to cancel a stuck print job in Windows 10. See steps below.

Method 1:

• Restart your computer.
• From the Taskbar printer icon, click open the Printer >
  Printer Menu > Cancel all documents.

Method 2:

• Type services.msc in Windows search and hit Enter to open Services Manager.
  
• Navigate down to Print Spooler. Right-click on it and click
  Stop.
• Launch File Explorer.
  
  
  
  
• In the address bar of the File Explorer, type C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers and click
  Enter.
  
  
  
  
• Select all the files and delete it.
• In the Services Manager, right-click on the Print Spooler service and click
  Start.
