    Computer won't detect mic


    My pc- inspiron 3670, just recently will not longer detect my microphone with my headphones. I have tried troubleshooting and reinstalling my headphones but nothing has worked. I have my headphones plugged into the headset jack but the jack or my pc won't detect my mic with my headphones. I know it's not my headphones and have tried multiple headphones but the sound works just there is no detection of my mic with my headphones. I don't know what else to do at this point.

    One important step, try your mic with a different computer.

    USB Mic Problems.


    The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.
