Windows 10: Computer Wont wake up from sleep

I updated my laptop HP Stream Laptop while updating the computer to finish its update in sleep mode. After this was finished the laptop was stuck in sleep mode. I hard reset the computer and it launched fine. After further observations looking through the logs on the update it had finished and it flagged that it went to sleep. The same problem happened again when it automatically went into sleep mode, and once again, the computer didn't wake up from sleep. I pressed the power but and I got no response. I can tell that the computer posted because the processing light on the side was on and the computer was responding to everything else. I tried with the charger in and out. The computer will wake up from sleep if I have an HDMI connection and my keyboard and mouse connected. Although my wireless mouse doesn't.

There's a possibility that the settings that enables your Space bar to wake your computer up from sleep was reset after updating Windows. If this what had happened, we suggest that you just re-set it up. See the steps below on how to do
so:

• Press Windows key and type keyboard in.
• Click on Keyboard option and a pop-up windows should show up.
• From there, go to > Hardware tab > Properties >
  Change settings > Power management > Allow this device to wake the computer >
  OK/Apply.

Try the if the steps did work and let us know any updates.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.
