Windows 10: Configuration problem within my Flight Simulator X program

Hello,


I have been installed correctly my program Flight Simulator X at the day of 07 July 2018.


The Main Aircraft configuration file {aircraft cfg} of my FSX program always did not accept any modification.

That is means, once I would like to add and configurate one or more downloaded item(s) from another simulation web site, the main aircraft cfg file deny this action and further of all it asks to get permission from the administrator.


For exemple: once I downloaded a texture file from an simulation web site and I istalled it in the special folder within my FSX program,

and when I add the texture text details required to complete the configuration process over the main aircraft cfg file and ask to configurate those texture informations, I always got negative response and it deny the configuration process by asking a permission from the administrator.


Now I want know which is the Administrator I should ask the permission to configurate the downloaded informations I want to add to the main aircraft cfg file. and how can I ask?

If you think that, probably, it will be useful to cancel the FSX program and doing reinstallation once again.....I did this process several times but the problem is still exist. I think it is question of pirates or blockage my FSX contents.


Please note that it is the first time I recognize this problem of configuration refusal over my main aircraft cfg file inside my FSX program.

that is only happens once I installed my FSX program with Version Windows 10 which I am using actually and for the time being.

Also note that my FSX program was installed correctly and did well performance before with Version Windows XP with no problem of configuration at all.

I shall be thankful to guide me how can I solve this technical problem.

Microsoft Flight Simulator issue after Windows 10 Upgrade

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.



I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

Refer the steps below to uninstall.

• Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
• Open programs and features.
• In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
  Remove.

Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



Reinstall the Flight Simulator.

Follow the steps below on how to install Microsoft flight simulator xin compatibility mode:

1. Download the Microsoft flight simulator xfrom the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the Microsoft flight simulator xinstall and then check the functionality.

Flight Simulator X - Reactivation

Hi,

We're more than happy to help. Here are steps on how to resolve compatibility issues with Flight Simulator X:

1. Open the folder C:\program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X

2. Right click on the FSX executable icon.

3. Click Properties.

4. On the Compatibility tab, click to check "Run this program in the compatibility mode for".

5. Click OK.

6. Start the game again and try to activate.

If the issue continues to occur, make sure you have both Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 for Flight Simulator X. To download the latest Service Pack, visit the following web site: http://www.microsoft.com/Products/Games/FSInsider/downloads/Pages/default.aspx

Note that if you have Flight Simulator Expansion Pack its already includes both Service pack 1 and 2.
