Windows 10: Configuration system failed to initialize

    Configuration system failed to initialize


    When i turned on my laptop message would appear; Another instance is running. Configuration system failed to initialize. I don't know if it has anything to do with this but this message started showing up after ive rebooted my laptop because my brightness feature wasn't working properly. So I took out the battery and i held the shut down button for 30 seconds. After that, my problem with brightness was solved but this message started showing up. I tried to solve this problem via Powershell with command sfc / scannow but it just said that Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
    I tried performing cleanboot, (following this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows) and i restarted my laptop after step 8. And this message wasn't showing up. And by enabling one app at a time after restarting my laptop each time i enabled new app… i figured out that if i leave web companion by lava disabled i don't get the message. But Web Companion prevents malware infections and privacy breaches so i kind of need that app. But also … some sites say that Web Companion should be installed because often installs without user intent using bundled installations, can display ads, pop-ups and discount coupons on shopping sites.

    What do i do?
