Connect to Two Wireless networks with one adapter simultaneously

So we have a need to connect to two wireless networks with one adapter.

Basically we have one network for communicating locally between devices that does not have internet access by design. We then have a separate network with Internet access. Normally in this situation we connect to the local network wired and the internet via a wireless connection. However currently at this site there is no physical connectivity for the local network at the location we need, but there is an wireless access point.

    TIA for any assiatnce.

    :)

  2. Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

    2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

    3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

    4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

I Hope you solve out your query soon.

  3. Which network adapter?

My friend recently came over to my house with his laptop. Before I could connect him to my lan he detected several wireless networks in the area. I want to connect to these wireless networks, but I don't know what kind of adapter I need. I searched his laptop model and this is his network adapter http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/products/wireless/wireless_n/overview.htm

It seems he could get both N, and G signals

what would any of you guys suggest?

    Wireless Network Connection adapter name.

    Thank you for your reply.

My query is about the network adapter name change happened in Windows 10 from Windows 7.

In windows 10 it displays "Wi- Fi"

where as in Windows 7 it is "Wireless Network Connection".

Can we expect the adapter name as "Wi-Fi" in all Windows 10 machine, or there is any name change by default.
