Windows 10: Connected to smartphone's mobile hotspot and secured, but no internet access.

Hello there, people!

I have this problem right now in which my Acer Nitro 5 connects to my smartphone's mobile hotspot and is secured, but it provides no internet access.

However, I am able to connect to my campus's wifi just fine, only my smartphone's mobile hotspot is problematic.

Please help! I have done most of the methods I found online, but none worked!

I have this problem right now in which my Acer Nitro 5 connects to my smartphone's mobile hotspot and is secured, but it provides no internet access.

connected to your phone's mobile hotspot and then run the Troubleshooter.
Post windows error message.
If you prefer, post the screenshot.

Otherwise try configuring the USB tethering on the phone, then connect it via USB cable to the PC and check if you can access the internet.

Got it.

This usually happen if Internet Connection Sharing was not enabled. To do this, follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + X and select Network Connections.
• Please note that at this point, your hotspot connection should be showing here
• Right-click your internet source, which should be Ethernet.
• Select Properties.
  
• Click Sharing.
• Check the Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection option.
• Under Home networking connection drop-down menu select your
  hotspot connection name.
• Click OK.
