Windows 10: connecting a laptop to three monitors using Windows 10

I have a Lenovo laptop that was originally windows 7 and upgraded to windows 10 with latest updates. I recently purchased two monitors to expand my workspace. One is connected through HDMI the other through VGA. Each one works separately, but not at the same time. I have read several of the forums to no avail for help. When I go to display settings I can use 2/3, 1/3 but not all three. I have tried extending the display to the third monitor, but that didn't work either. When I click on the third monitor and click identify it only identifies 1 and 2. I also notice that monitor three will say that it has no signal, by the way that is the one connected via VGA. It seems HDMI takes precedence.

Any Help would be appreciated.

• What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
  

• How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
