Windows 10: Connecting my Surface Laptop running Windows 10 to my iPhone X.

My iPhone X doesn't show up in the Network listing of possible connections. The iPhone is paired with my Surface laptop and I can select it using Bluetooth but it doesn't allow for a secure network connection.

Thoughts?

Surface Connect to USB-C Adapter for Surface Pro and Surface Laptop Surface

Support for the Surface Connect to USB-C Adapter requires the installation of an update for the Surface System Aggregator Module prior to connecting the adapter to your Surface Pro or Surface Laptop device.

Surface Laptop:

The Surface System Aggregator Module update for Surface Laptop was previously made available on 15 May 2018. If your Surface Laptop is up-to-date with Windows Update or you have installed the 15 May 2018 update from the Microsoft Download Center, your Surface Connect to USB-C Adapter will work with your device out-of-the-box and no further action is required. If your device does not yet have this required update, please run Windows Update to update your device or install the latest drivers for Surface Laptop from the Microsoft Download Center.

The specific driver required for Surface Laptop devices to support the Surface Connect to USB-C Adapter is:

Surface System Aggregator v135.2139.257.0

Surface Pro (Model 1796):

The Surface System Aggregator Module update for Surface Pro (Model 1796) has not previously been made available and is now available via the Microsoft Download Center. To support the Surface Connect for USB-C Adapter on your Surface Pro device, you must download and install one of the following packages from the Surface Pro drivers and firmware page of the Microsoft Download Center:
