  1. Connecting Windows Mail to supanet

    Hi

I have just got a computer that has updated to new version Windows 10

I cannot connect to Supanet on Windows Mail

Not sure of how to port settings in or even if you have to

    I enter as follows

To fill it in it is as follows

E Mail address my email address
User name my use name (email address less @supanet
    Password my password
    Account name My Namer

    Send message name My name
    Incoming E Mail server pop.supanet.com
    Account type imap4 or pop3
    Outgoing E Mail server imap.supanet.com or smtp.supanet.com

No place to put port numbers but Incoming is 110 out is 143 imap or 25
    pop3

Some people on internet say you should put port no with colon ie :110
after server but doesn't seem to work

There is then four boxes to tick
    Outgoing server requires authentication
Use the same user name and password for sending email
Require SSL for incoming E Mail
Require SSL for outgoing E Mail

Don't know whether to tick these boxes or not

    Can anybody advise

    Thanks

    Regards

    Roger

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. *Smile

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
