    Connection Issue WiFi vs Ethernet?

Lately, I seem to have a connection conflict between Wifi and Ethernet. I show my laptop as connected to both. It is in another room from the modem and router.

It will disconnect periodically. I can only reconnect by restarting the computer. Wireless is strong throughout the house, so I think I'd prefer not to connect to both.

    Is this easily resolved?

    :)

Make Windows 10 connect/disconnect to WiFi based on Ethernet connection status

    Steps:

    1. Go to Control Panel\ All Control Panel Items\ Network and Sharing Center > click on 'Change adapter settings' then use the 'alt button' to show menus and select Advanced Settings...
    2. Under Connections section, select Ethernet, and use the arrows to the right to move Ethernet above WiFi.
    3. Click OK.

Windows will now prefer the Ethernet over the WiFi for connecting to the internet. This should apply for Windows 8, 8.1, and 10.

    Connection Issue WiFi vs Ethernet?

Ethernet Connection Issue - WIFI is working but Not Ethernet Connection

For some reason yesterday my Ethernet connection stopped working. Initially is said "Identifying" and now it just says "Unidentified Network". I have tried multiple times to reconnect to my network and nothing is working. My WiFi connection is still working
but not the Ethernet connection. I tried uninstalling the Ethernet driver and then reinstalling it - this did not solve the issue. I checked for updated software and received a message that my device had the most updated software. I troubleshooted the issue
and followed all of the instructions on the screen. Once the trouble shoot completed I followed the steps to resolve the issue but received a message that the issue was not able to be resolved. I have copied and pasted the message I received in my trouble
shooting report below. Could someone please let me know how to fix this and why its happening?
