Windows 10: " Connection to RCM Win 10 has been lost. Please check your network and try again.

My computer error message " Connection to RCM Win 10" has been lost. Please check your network and try again. Thought I was having internet issues. Talked to my internet carrier and they rebooted my system. I got on the internet without fail on my cell and my personal computer. Yet every time I try to log into my work computer I get the above error message. I can close the error message but it always comes back. Thinking it is a WIN 10 issue. No matter what I cannot log onto the work computer at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Win 10 Network Printer Connection Problem

I have tried, when using the wifi from a Win 7 computer to connect to the printer connected to it. Others can connect.

I did do the three steps outlined:

• Open File Explorer. Pick the "Network" icon from the left pane (navigation pane) of the file explorer UI.
• If sharing is turned off you will see a pale yellow line towards the top of the window that states "Network Discovery is turned off. Network computers and devices are not visible. Click to change...".
• Click this bar and select "Turn on network discovery and file sharing"

None of the suggestion worked.

I did notice that the PC I'm connecting to is 'Private' while I am listed as 'Public'.

• Can this be causing the problem?
• Are there other suggestions?

I need to be connected to use the other printer so work flow can not be disrupted and someone else needs to print the file for me.

I will be with this group again on Monday.

Network connection lost - but still there

My Win 8.1 64 bit laptop used to show network connections on the bottom right of the screen in the notification area - as "STEPS"

This continued when upgraded to Win 10 64 until the latest update KB3081441 / KB30814444 - when, after rebooting - was lost !!

The laptop IS still connected wirelessly - to my router - but there is NO indication of which device it is connected to

In fact - when I hover the tracker mouse over the network indicator - it reports "NOT CONNECTED NO CURRENT CONNECTIONS ARE AVAILABLE"

What is going on with this connection ?
