Windows 10: Consistent crashing while paying Overwatch

Hello,


I have a problem where I get consistent bluescreen crashes while playing Overwatch. This does not happen with other games like Fallout: New Vegas or while doing anything else, the crashes are unique to Overwatch. The error code is "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" 90% of the time, other times it could be any one of the codes listed here. I have taken the steps in this article to run driver verifier and uploaded the .dmp files, as well as my dxdiag and msinfo here.

• Which edition of Overwatch are you using?
• Do you have the physical copy or the digital version of the game?

Frequent crashes playing Overwatch

Appreciate the response but the first line of the crash report indicates its a hardware issue that caused windows to crash plus I had this issue with an old windows 7 set up as well. Was hoping to get some insight into if this report shines light on which
piece of hardware in particular is the issue.

To answer your questions anyway:

Overwatch is the newest game I have on this rig none of my older games (diablo 3 minecraft FFXIV) have had this issue

I have the latest edition of Overwatch and it is a digital copy

the app troubleshooter did not make any improvement

 

all games crash!

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
