Odd, before I reloaded Windows, the Aorus screen showed as loading, now the Windows icon shows as windows is loading. So when it is loading, and the little white circles are moving showing that windows in loading, it shows the MS icon instead of the Aorus eagle. It "feels" better somehow as well. Only stock Microsoft drivers are installed. iTunes is working well, Chrome and Firefox, the same. We shall see.

I am cautiously optimistic. So far, so good. I am walking around it like one would walk around a pissed off rattlesnake in your living room right now. However my daughter played several hours of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. I replaced her controller with a Logitech F310 controller hooked into a rear USB port. I played Civilization V and Beyond Earth for a couple of hours. iTunes is working. I have added no other software, drivers, or games. Next week I will add Ghost Recon and The Division back in if it keeps behaving.

So far so good. How did you identify the problem with the controller?

It just seemed to be an issue, nothing that I can really quantify, and I think somehow Windows got corrupted. My daughter is playing with the logitech right now, doing Rise of the Tomb Raider. It seemed that there was a USB problem of some sort. I am cautiously optimistic. I have not added any extra drivers, and the Nvidia card is running on the Windows drivers. To test the front USB, I moved a 42 gb directory from the hard drive to a 64 gb USB drive which had not been recognized by the board several days ago. Worked perfectly. Slow, but it was a huge file. The computer had crashed once before when moving a large file, so this working was nice.

Added Photoshop CS4 and Office 2010 64 bit. Seems stable. My daughter played Rise of the Tomb Raider all day (or so it seems), and system was stable. The Logitech F310 seems to be liked better than her other controller. If it stays stable, then this weekend I will add Ghost Recon: Wildlands and The Division back to the system. I really want to add the Gigabyte apps on, but they will be the last thing I add back on.

Ok, I rushed it and added Ghost Recon and the Division. Stable, no crashes per my daughter who played all day long. So far so good. I am of two minds about adding back the Gigabyte apps, I really want the fan app and the rgb app, but those can wait for a week or so.

The games are playing nice with the computer so far. This weekend I will add Ccleaner, and the Gigabyte apps.
