Windows 10: Constant high pitched buzz in headphones, yet no normal audio.

Recently i have attempted to swap one of my Hard drives for an SSD, i was unable to do so, so i plugged everything back to where it is supposed to be. Now, my PC wont recognise the headphones i have plugged in, and i can only hear a high pitched buzz. Please help, Thank you.

High pitched noise with headphones, can't change audio drivers.

I got this new laptop yesterday, a HP zbook studio G5, I can't use it with my headphones because of some very annoying high pitched noise coming through them only when I plug them in the laptop. I think it might have to do with my audio drivers, but I can't
seem to change them. I've installed ASIO4all and realtek audio drivers but they just don't show up in my device manager.

Any ideas?

 

Audio - 'Random' High Pitch Squeak

Despite having searched for over an hour online and attempted various solutions (at least the ones I could understand and carry out with ease), I haven't been able to solve the following problem:

Earlier today, I installed a Dell Update (via the installed program, 'Dell Update', of course). I had been delaying downloading it for a while but today I finally relented to the continued reminders.

Ever since installing this update, I have been experiencing some odd audio issues BOTH through the laptop's speakers and through headphones if I plug them in.

Certain sounds, which never caused any issue before, have lead to weird bursts ('sputters') of high-pitched fuzzy (almost like a 'splat' or a 'pop' with some static) noises.

For instance, when listening to this song - at around 2:30 the high-pitched noise kicks in and the constant interjections of squeaky noise renders it insufferable to continue listening.

This doesn't seem to have anything to do with volume (I've tried listening to things on all volumes), and as said before, this affects laptop speakers and headphones alike. My laptop is a Dell XPS 15.

Any fix for screeches when playing mp3's via bluetooth audio?

Im also experiencing bluetooth audio playback issues - random popping sounds and a constant high pitched whine on my Lumia 920.

The popping sounds seem to only be related to mp3 playback. Songs that ive ripped using windows media player (regardless of compression) will play random pops / crackles with a constant high pitched whine / hum over any bluetooth device. These same mp3s
play fine through the speakers and through the headphone jack.

WMA audio (the same song as the mp3 tested above) only has the high pitched whine / hum...no popping or crackling over bluetooth...plays fine through speakers and headphone jack.

Netflix and other streaming media also only exhibits the high pitched whine / hum...no popping or crackling over bluetooth. Again, these play fine through the speakers and headphone jack.
