Windows 10: continual Disk Space warning pop up

I get this message "Low Disk Space. You are running out of disk space on Local Drive (F. Click here to free up space on this drive. Windows Explorer"


The disk shows it is low in the red zone, but nothing is on it.. . 0 bytes. I converted to Windows 10 when it came out, and have been getting this message for several months lately... .

Low disk space warning pop-up box

I followed Soumitra Sengupta's directions on How to remove the low disk space warning. I navigate down to:

Navigate to the following location:

H KEY_C URRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

However, under \ Policies there is no
"Explorer".

I follow everything else that is mentioned and I am still getting the pop-up box "Low Disk Warning." I have turned the sound off and ignore the pop-up box. The other suggestions
from the computer is to remove unnecessary programs. I do not intend to remove any of my licensed "other than" Microsoft programs. I want this pop-up box gone. How is this accomplished?
