Windows 10: continue install without internet connection?

i'm having wifi problems. i previously downloaded the windows 10 update and it was installing. had to abort. came back later and i want to find the downloaded windows 10 update to then install. i can only find the assistant that starts all over, with the download. but i have no internet connection. is the downloaded version somewhere on my pc?

Hi, yes with this installation package you can install Nokia Ovi Suite, without internet connection. During the installation, Nokia Ovi Suite checks, if there's newer version available in Internet, but installation continues through if you don't have internet
connection available.

Probably not. The download file is named install.esd and on mine is located in C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources. Sometimes it doesn't show up there until toward the end of the update process and frequently is gone after doing the required restart. For some reason mine is still there, might be because the computer is a new purchase and originally intended for business use.

In a situation like yours I have booted to a Linux Mint LiveDVD to check for the presence of that file. If there I copy to an 8GB or larger USB Thumb drive, put it on my Desktop and use the posted ESDtoISO applet [check in this Forum's Tutorials section] to convert to the .iso file then burn the DVD from that.
