    Control Panel - can't save Large icons view - defaults to original


    Hi there

    I still prefer using the control panel rather than go hunting around in settings / right mouse click etc etc --especially if Ms have renamed some of the options.

    The control panel is still there in W10 CU edition (1703 X-64 Pro) however if I change the view to large icons which is what I like it reverts back on the next use to the standard by category. I can't find any way to change it -- I'm running from desktop icon as shown.

    1) Preferred view

    Everything keeps reverting to US-style formats since I upgraded to Windows 10

    First set your Language then Region

    Language

    Right click Start > Control Panel, Click View by Large icons > Language

    Set the correct default language, adding yours if necessary

    Region

    Click Region in Control Panel then set your default time/date formats

    Charles,

    Right click on the Start button, then click on Control Panel. Change the View By: to Large Icons. Then click on AutoPlay. You can set your default actions there.
