  1. Control Panel says bad drive. SeaTools says no errors found. What's going on??


    I scanned the Windows drive of my brother's device because I noticed that the disk usage was too high. Control Panel reported that the drive needs repair. The scan also reported the same. I panicked and downloaded SeaTools and it says it is fine. What the hell is going on? Whom should I believe?I'm currently running SeaTools' Long Generic Test and will update this thread with the results later.If ST is right, then probably Control Panel just wants to get rid of the data on the device and also my games.The disk usage is 100% most of the time, and sometimes it drops to 98%. It just doesn't decre

  2. Bitlocker menu in Control Panel is gone!!!!!

    Hi,

    From the above screenshot I see that you are not able to access or see the Bitlocker Drive Encryption in Control Panel, i suggest you to change the view of the Control panel and then check if you are able to access or view it.

    Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Type Control Panel in the Search bar and then Enter.
    • Select the View by options in the upper right pane.
    • In Category select the small icons and then check if you can view the Bitlocker Drive Encryption option.

    Step 1: Opening Control Panel in Windows 10.


    • Open Run command box by simultaneously pressing Windows and R keys (Windows + R).

    • In the Run dialog box, type
      Control
      and then press Enter key to open the classic Control Panel.
    Step 2: Access Control Panel in Windows 10 from desktop.


    • Right-click on the Start button (Windows logo button at the bottom-left corner of the desktop) and then click Control Panel to open the same.
    Step 3: Launch Control Panel using search.


    • Open Start menu or screen.

    • In the search box, enter Control Panel and then press Enter key to open the same.
    Note: You can quickly access the search with the help of Windows + C hotkey.

    Step 4: Create Control Panel shortcut on desktop.

    • Right-click on desktop, click New, and then click Shortcut.
    • In Type the location of the item box, type the following path.
    explorer shell:ControlPanelFolder

    • Click Next button.
    • In the Type a name for this shortcut box, type Control Panel, and click Finish button. You can now double-click on the Control Panel icon on the desktop to quickly launch the same.
    Step 5: Pin Control Panel to Start or taskbar.


    • In the Start search box, type Control Panel.

    • When you see search results, right-click on Control Panel entry and then click Pin to Start to pin it to the Start menu or screen.
    Note: Clicking Pin to taskbar will pin the Control Panel to taskbar.
