Windows 10: Control+R Spam

A few days ago my desktop PC started spamming the CTRL+R funtion without me even touching the keyboard. It kept reloading chrome and bringing up the ruler in Adobe Acrobat even after I unplugged my keyboard. A couple seconds of stressing and annoyance, my computer went to the locked screen and my passcode wasn’t working. I thought I was getting hacked and freaked out, unplugged my ethernet, deleted all my known wifi networks, and turned off my computer. After that, I went and unplugged my router to insure I couldn’t connect to the internet.


After it turned back on I went to windows firewall and blocked internet communication as a default, so everything that wanted internet connection had to ask to connect. Everything was fine for a few days, I changed all my important passwords, logged out of all my acounts on all devices, etc. All was good until right now. It happened again and I wasted no time unplugging my ethernet again and turning off my PC. At this point I have no idea what’s causing this as this has never been a problem before. Has anybody else had this issue?

You need to look at the “View installed Updates” screen to see the list of recently installed updates.

Follow these steps to view installed updates:

  Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Programs and Features”.

  Click on “View Installed Updates”.

Step 2: Access Control Panel in Windows 10 from desktop.

Step 3: Launch Control Panel using search.

• 
  Open Start menu or screen.
  
• 
  In the search box, enter Control Panel and then press Enter key to open the same.
  

Note: You can quickly access the search with the help of Windows + C hotkey.

Step 4: Create Control Panel shortcut on desktop.

• Right-click on desktop, click New, and then click Shortcut.
• In Type the location of the item box, type the following path.

• Click Next button.
• In the Type a name for this shortcut box, type Control Panel, and click Finish button. You can now double-click on the Control Panel icon on the desktop to quickly launch the same.

Step 5: Pin Control Panel to Start or taskbar.

• 
  In the Start search box, type Control Panel.
  
• 
  When you see search results, right-click on Control Panel entry and then click Pin to Start to pin it to the Start menu or screen.
  

Note: Clicking Pin to taskbar will pin the Control Panel to taskbar.

Step 2 does not work at all. Anything from File Explorer and above does not launch at all.
