    I have Windows 10 and something has changed as I remember from windows 7. When I am in Windows Explorer and I copy/paste files from one folder to another, the copied files are not selected ie highlighted after the paste is complete. This is annoying and I cannot figure out how this got changed. Any ideas/suggestions?

    I have Windows 7 and something has changed recently. When I am in Windows Explorer and I copy/paste files from one folder to another, the copied files are not selected (ie highlighted) after the paste is complete. This is annoying and I cannot figure
    out how this got changed. Any ideas/suggestions?

    I have not made any recent changes to my theme, folder options, or any other options. It was not happening before. It just started happening a couple of weeks ago.

    When the paste is completed, I am not pressing anything on my keyboard or mouse. The steps I take are:

    * select the files I want to copy

    * either right click on my mouse and choose copy, or press ctrl-c

    * go to the folder I where I want to paste

    * either right click on my mouse and choose paste, or press ctrl-v

    It's at this point where I would expect the files to finish copying and they all be selected in my destination folder, and that's how it worked in the past.

    Java.nio.file - Copying files

    You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
    You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one
