Windows 10: Copy a list of subfolders with their contents using CMD

Hi all, I would like to copy a list of subfolders with their contents from one folder to another. I usually have the name list of the subfolders from an excel file and I do it manually, which of course is not ideal.

For example, I have attached an image. There you can see "FOLDER1" and "FOLDER2". I would like to copy "SUBFOLDER1", "SUBFOLDER2" and "SUBFOLDER3" via CMD.

The excel file provides the names of "SUBFOLDER1", "SUBFOLDER2" and "SUBFOLDER3".

For File Explorer, how to get UNC pathname of folder in mapped Drive ?

Thanks, this is another workaround.

If File Explorer can show the UNC Path, end-user only need to copy the address bar instead of

1. requiring CMD skill and memory for the command
   
2. additional four steps to get UNC pathname of a file.
   
   1. open CMD
      
   2. type in net use
      
   3. copy Remote text
      
   4. add subfolder to Remote Text
      

Your suggestion is very useful in general but for my case need more labour than the one I posted with help from

Is it possible to minimize steps with your CMD option?

for example, open CMD in the subfolder instead and then type in some command to get UNC path of the subfolder?

There is a paid solution but I need approval from IT; which is unlikely because this is not commonly required except for communicating to Tech Support

How to copy a list of subfolders from a folder to a system folder

I was able to copy the Documents regular folder saved on the separate drive and pasted it onto the Documents system folder in the C drive. I was advised by a Microsoft representative that the copy and paste should place the subfolders directly under the
system folder. Unfortunately, the Documents regular folder is now a subfolder in the Documents system folder.

I would need to drag and drop each of the 30 subfolders onto the Documents system folder since I have not found a method to simply highlight all the subfolders as I would do with a list of files to do this in one operation.

Do I need to use a console command to do this or is there another way? If a console command please provide one since I have not used the console for years.

I needed to backup the list of subfolders in my system folders, e.g. Documents, Pictures etc., before Windows 10 was re-installed at a Microsoft store due to a problem that could not be repaired. I thought I was copying the system folders to a separate
drive. Instead, the resulting system folders under Properties appeared as regular folders. I now need to restore the subfolders back to the system folders in one operation.



Can I simply drag the regular folders on top of the system folders of the same name so that the system folders do not become regular folders or what is the correct procedure?
