  1. Core Parking

My cores are getting parked whenever there is heavy load. Like playing a game or trying to play YouTube videos on browser. I am using a laptop with i5-5200u. Everything just starts to stutter when 1 of the 2 cores gets blocked or disabled. It's only happening in windows 10. I also tried to 'unpark' the cpu using the registry & the un-park utility or quickCPU by coderbag, but Alas nothing changed.

    :)

  2. Core getting parked while gaming

I respect ur concern for life of my pc

But i observed that the cores are getting parked regardless of the temperatures...

Like they got parked at 77... Further if this was for lowering the temperatures, that to dosnt happens temperature still rises even of the parked cores!!

  3. Parked cores? Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I understand your concern and I will certainly help you with it.

Many apps don't use all cores. They aren't programmed for it. Then they will use one core and will overload it.

But you can tell Windows to run that process on 2,3, ... and in all cores.

For doing it, follow these steps:

    • Open Task Manager
    • Select tab Processes
    • Right click and select 'Set Affinity'
    • Select on which cores you want to run process.
Hope this post helps. Get back to us for further queries. We are happy to help!
