Windows 10: Corel Draw 5.0

When I try to load Corel 5 on windows 10 it says it will not load this app.

All of my work has been done on 5. I installed corel 8 on this pc but it will not run corel 5 saved work.

Is there a way to get my corel 5 work converted so corel 8 will recognize it or just get corel 5 to load on windows 10.

Does Windows 10 support Corel Draw

I have Corel X6 on a PC I just upgraded to Windows 10 from 8. The following issues where immediate:

1. The menu bar in Corel Draw X6 is no longer visible.

2. You can no longer access Corel Draw files from another computer. Parameters:

• Corel X6 on both PCs on network
• Corel 10 upgraded on one PC which stores the Corel Draw files.
• Corel Draw on a network PC with Windows 7 cannot open the Corel Files. All other files are fine.
  
• If the files are on another PC, any other PC except the Windows 10 PC, the files work fine!

Question: Does Windows 10 activate some type of security for licensing that conflicts?

I have a Corel Draw 5 and Corel Draw 7 software I would like to install on my Windows 10 machine, is it possible or will it affect Windows 10 ?

 

Autocad copy and paste to corel draw on windows 10

We have been using Windows 7 for the past 5 years and have been able to copy an Autocad 2010 drawing and paste it into Corel Draw 12 without any issues. I can save the Corel Draw file and when I open it again, it looks the same as when I last saved it. I have done the same setup multiple times on Windows 7 machines and it always works.

Recently I have installed Windows 10 on a machine as well as Autocad 2010 and Corel Draw 12. For some reason the copy and paste works differently. The pasted Autocad data looks like it has zoomed into the drawing so it is the same size as the viewport. So if I draw a box in the top left, I only get part of the box (and it is much bigger) when I paste it into Corel Draw. I have also tried this procedure in Autocad 2018 with Corel Draw X7 and it does the same thing.

I know that you can import dxf directly into Corel but this does not always work as expected (e.g the text gets cut off in a Corel Draw text box etc. which all have to be expanded etc.).

I would like to know why Windows 10 seems to be causing this issue with copying and pasting between Autocad and Corel Draw. Is there possibly some security setting etc. that might be preventing it from working as before. Is it something to do with the clipboard? Is there anything I can change that might correct this issue?
