    No problem and I do thank you for your time not only in sending the link, but in responding to the thread. I used to work at a University where students doing CAD and 3D graphics used Parallels... I recommended they change to boot-camp or Fusion. but that was more than 5 years ago...

    I see that the current version of Parallels now gives the user a choice to optimize the VM for different tasks, such as Gaming, CAD, etc. Something you don't see in Fusion or VBox.

    I just installed the 3 products to check them out in today's versions. If you Dad is talking about the current version of Parallels, he may be right. Parallels 13 as compared to Fusion 10, has quite a few more features.
    I do agree with you about Parallels being a constant headache about asking the user to pay for every minor upgrade there is!

    On my machine, Virtualbox seems to be running the quickest, with Fusion and Parallels tied behind. But man, having to go all over the place to get information on drivers and such, sometimes can be as annoying as an app asking you to pay all the time! If you know what I mean *Wink

    I have had zero problems with remote desktop with any of the VM products and I have come to the conclusion that most of those problems are related to expired certificates or network settings configured incorrectly in the VM.

    And at the end of the day, we all know that the Achilles Tendon of VMs is the hardware where they reside!
