  1. Corrupt System Files?

    Greetings fellow reader.

For the past month now I've been having issues with corrupt files on my pc. Sometimes it'll cause a certain window to close, my web browser, and most commonly Discord. At it's worst I'll get a blue screen of death where it collects data from the crash, but never successfully restarts my computer. Sometimes my computer will restart successfully, and other times I have to manually hold down the power button and reboot.

I've tried many different solutions to fixing this error, and I'm at my wit's end. I'm not sure what else to do at this point. I've tried running command prompt in administrator mode and running the command sfc /scannow, and when it does complete sometimes it refuses to even do a full scan, saying there was an error in the process it usually ends up giving me the message: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

I've located said log file, but I don't know nearly enough about computers to begin understanding anything about the text within, so I've attempted a few other repairs including the following: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth in command prompt, which gets to 62.3% and then no farther. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, and even went as far as to reset my pc, only to do the sfc scan and be told my files are still corrupt. I tried resetting through cloud files, only for me to be told that there was an error in the process after the "download" completed. I've tried resetting using the media tool only to have multiple errors there also. I wouldn't be posting this if I knew of any other potential fixes, and I'm quite desperate at this point.

    Please help!

    :)

  2. Corrupted file RAR

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:
    • Open WinRAR application in your system.
    • Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
    • A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
    • Now click Open button.
    • Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
    • Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
    • Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
    • Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
    • WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.
I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.

    Thanks.
