Windows 10: Corrupted Windows 10 install - how to clean install from here? Tool gives 0x80072F76 - 0x20016

I've been having an issue where any time I try to open certain programs, like device manager, I get the error: "Class not registered".




I've assumed this means there's some corrupted system files and all "fixes" I've found have run across the same issue of classes not being registered.


I decided to just do a clean install using the tool found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10startfresh


However, when I run that tool, I get the error code 0x80072F76 - 0x20016.





My system specs are below - and I have more than enough space on both my C:/ and D:/ drives 108 GB free on C: and 739 GB free on D:.

How can I go about doing a fresh install at this point? Am I correct that this is my only fix at this point? I'm unable to update any drivers until this is resolved, so this is a significant issue for me.


When doing a fresh install, how can I ensure that I don't need to re-purchase windows 10 pro since I only have the 1 product key?

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.
