Windows 10: Cortana just disappeared!

Had an Update around Midnight last night and this Morning, I found Cortana has disappeared together with my reminders and no Microphone Symbol showing.

Did anyone else have this problem?

Cortana reminders

My reminders have all disappeared - anyone know how to recover them or do I just stop using Cortana in future

 

U.S. Cortana in Spanish

On my Lumia 435 running Windows 8.1 fully updated, Cortana disappears when I change the language to Spanish, as I prefer. I don't care whether Cortana speaks .English or Spanish. I just want her to work.

I changed to Search Box to an Icon but now Cortana is gone and the Search Box won't search.

 

Check "Location" in the settings app:

 

I can't get to "Settings." When I left-click on the Start button I get a critical error and Windows logs me off. I can right-click the Start button and it gives me a list of operations I can do, like shut down or sign out. Is there another way to get to "Settings."

 

Action Center(next to system clock) or clicking something in the "old" control panel like Defender > Settings in the top right of Defender.

Sounds similar to my issue here: Re-installing Cortana

I initially though it was down to careless use of Ccleaner, but am now beginning to wonder.

A song playing on the radio just now that I forgot the name of, I asked her "Hey Cortana, what's the name of this song?" Her answer(correctly)

I had the location Set to ON but the Update turned it OFF, so I reset it to On and 'Cortana' came back complete with Microphone.

But all my Reminders were missing, so I kept 'Clicking' between Notebook and Reminder and everything came back!

 

I'm glad to hear it was something so simple to fix. I found out about this while doing something else; re-registering all apps and store to try fixing another problem, re-registering turns location off.

 

Interesting. Checked my settings and "Location" is also turned off. Sadly though, I can't seem to turn it on. *Mad Hitting the "Change" button brings up the "busy" icon for a fraction of a second, then nothing. The location On/Off button is greyed out.

Any ideas?
