Windows 10: Cortana Web Preview Not Working

Hello, I'm on the semi-annual channel for Windows Update. It appears that the update to Windows 10 1809 broke my Cortana Web Preview in some way.


Cortana doesn't show web preview any more. Search still works, but the web preview is gone.


How can I fix this? Web preview is awesome.

After upgrading to fall creator update one feature i was looking for was Cortana web preview but I can't find it.

A possible reason why Cortana doesn't show
the search results previews after upgrading to Fall Creators Update could be corrupted system files. We recommend that you use the
System File Checker (SFC) tool and see if it helps. System File Checker
is a utility available in Windows 10 that checks and repairs corrupted system files. If the issue isn't resolved by running the SFC, kindly use the
Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM)
tool. DISM tool is used to troubleshoot errors that SFC can't resolve.

Cortana only providing web search answers since upgrading to Creators Update and will not run my Programs

Cortana is integrated with search to make the experience better for users.

You may try turning off the web search in Cortana and check if it helps.



Kindly perform the below steps:

• Click on the Cortana Search box.
• Go to Notebook tab.
• Click on Settings.
• In Settings, Turn off the option Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alert and more.
• Also, turn off Search online and include web results option.
