Windows 10: "Couldn't install" any store apps.

Trying to install something from the Windows Store for the first time in ages and it won't install anything.

So far I've tried running the app troubleshooter, which told me to enable UAC - so I did. It found no other problems.

Some other reddit posts recommended trying the Google DNS servers, and enabling IPV6, so I did, neither helped.

Currently running sfc /scannow - anything else I can try short of reinstalling the OS?

I just picked up some Sony WH1000XM3's and I'd like to try out Dolby Atmos for Headphones - and there is no other way to get it apart from the Microsoft Store because reasons.

Edit: sfc /scannow finished. "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." Of course it was... Running dism commands...

Edit2: dism commands didn't fix it either. Wow MS... I can't believe after all this time the store is still a useless mess. Cortana should take it with her.

I`m unable to install anything from the app store: Code: 0x80072EFD

Thanks for the help!

I tried everything on the list, including the system restore, expect step 13, because I couldn`t find the appropriate software for my SSD. Nothing seems to work.

If I try to install anything from the store, I just get the same error message.

I already did everything from this post to be sure my computer is clean:

Couldn´t install SBSH Explore Pro- installation failed after download

I couldn´t install "SBSH FExplorer Pro" from Nokia Store (cost 4,99 EUR).

Installation failed after download.

Allow all software for installation is active, Online certificate check: On,

download and install is on C:, Space on C: is over 200 MB available.

software version 053.001, special version 053.001.231.03

Updates for this firmware version available: None.



Freeware of SBSH Explore works perfect- Pro Version installation failed.

After download I couldn´t find installation data (zip or .sisx) on C to with freeware version..



Somebody for help or any ideas?

Windows Store to Pack "Mature" Games and Apps

They announce this right after they said weren't going to carry any of it... Ya think some investors told them to stfu and take money? *Laugh :laugh:

I wonder how long it will be before you can't install noncertified apps? The app store is the 1st stepping stone. Although, you'd have to be an idiot to give 30% to these clowns.
