Windows 10: CPU on high usage and fans on "JET ENGINE", stops when opening taskmanager

Hello,I have this problem that occurs the sec. my laptop reaches Windows 11 logon screen, CPU usage is very high and fans spin like crazy to cool it off and this persists for hours if I let it. The funny thing is that it stops the sec. I open task manager and if it stays open it's all normal, the moment I close it problem reamerges. Don't know if this is cryptojacking or something else, but it started one month ago after I updated to 22h2 I think. Usually the process that has most CPU usage is QASvc, when I open task manager, but it instantly goes down afterwards. Is this cryptojacking and i

Another interesting finding which proves that this is more like a bug:

In the "Power Options", if "High Performance" is chosen, CPU usage is still reasonable at 5% and fan speed is also down. The same goes for the "Power Saver" option.

It is only the "Balanced" option that results in the explained high CPU utilization.

The transition is instant; i.e. the moment it click on the "Balanced" radio button, the CPU utilization inside the TaskManager goes up from 5% to 100%.

Use Resource Monitor (from task manager) - example- Avast manually scanning folder- you can see the files it's reading.

 

Unusally high CPU usage by system processes. Fan running like a jet engine as a result.

Both of those are known issues in previous versions, so make sure you have the latest Version 1909 first by checking at Settings > System > About, and if less than 1909 manually Upgrade to the latest version by installing the Media Creation Tool from this link

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account. Then continue
with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

Update your drivers and BIOS/UEFI firmware from PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page, using the full model number, Serial Number or Dell Service Tag on sticker. Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed
in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.

Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough. The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer's drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page.
