Windows 10: CPU upgrade and windows 10

If I change my CPU or memory but keep the same mother board.
Do I need to reinstall windows 10?

CPU not supported when tryin to upgarde to Win 10

when I am trying to upgrade from windows 7 to 10... it shows the CPU is not supported. what is to be done to make the CPU (NX) to be supported

I have 3 identical Windows 7 computers, checked the CPU's with Coreinfo.

Windows 10 Upgrade installed on 2 of the computers. The third computer is saying "CPU not Supported".

First Windows 10 upgrade reported: NX not supported.

Coreinfo. Report says: NX Supports no-execute page protection.

Now Windows 10 upgrade says: CPU not supported.

The bcdedit thing worked, upgrading now. bcdedit /set nx alwayson then reboot.

Went to Windows update.

 

I don't think so. As long as you don't change your motherboard, an OEM or retail copy should reactivate without issues once online.

 

Even if you change your motherboard you won't need to re-install Windows. You will have to re-activate it, though. CPU change only should not cause you to have to re-activate Windows.
