    Crackling sound on new computer

    Hi,

i just finished building my new computer with an Asus Rog strix X570 F Gaming Mainboard, RTX 3060 MSI graphic card and a Ryzen 5950x CPU. I have some very strange sound problems which so far nobody can solve.

When I start Itunes and scroll thePlaylist up and down the sound crackles and makes noises. This effect does not appear when I run Itunes only just after booting. But when I run a Game, OBS or some other programms the crackling gets worse. In these situations I even experience crackling sound without even scrolling in Itunes. The problem appears only by moving my mouse in a game or in other programms. As i said before it gets worse the more programms I run or the more performance I need.

The fun part is that I cannot record these noises with OBS or other programs. I can only hear the noises on my headphone and my USB 2.1 sound system. I have not tried the optical slot yet but I will do this next weekend.

Friends told me that it could have something to do with the performace of the GPU, which then is disturbing the on-board-sound-card of the mainboard. So I tried a soundlbaster sound card today, hoping that the problem would disppear, which it didnt. I just made it worse and I had crackling sound all the time.

Another friend told me to run LatencyMon and post the record here. You will find it below. I already made all updates possible to Windows and Drivers. Already reinstalled audi driver but nothing seems to work. I will try a BIOS Update tomorrow.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve my issue?

Your system seems to be having difficultyhandling real-time audio and other tasks. You may experience drop outs, clicksor pops due to buffer underruns. One or more DPC routines that belong to adriver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problemmay be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in ControlPanel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.

LatencyMon has been analyzing your systemfor 0:03:49 h:mm:ss on all processors.

MEASURED INTERRUPT TO USER PROCESS LATENCIES

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The interrupt to process latency reflects themeasured interval that a usermode process needed to respond to a hardwarerequest from the moment the interrupt service routine started execution. Thisincludes the scheduling and execution of a DPC routine, the signaling of anevent and the waking up of a usermode thread from an idle wait state inresponse to that event.

    REPORTED HARD PAGEFAULTS

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hard pagefaults are events that get triggeredby making use of virtual memory that is not resident in RAM but backed by amemory mapped file on disk. The process of resolving the hard pagefaultrequires reading in the memory from disk while the process is interrupted andblocked from execution.

NOTE: some processes were hit by hardpagefaults. If these were programs producing audio, they are likely tointerrupt the audio stream resulting in dropouts, clicks and pops. Check theProcesses tab to see which programs were hit.

Process with highest pagefault count: discord.exe

Total number of hard pagefaults 128

Hard pagefault count of hardest hitprocess: 49

    Crackling sound on new computer

Cannot change sound quality frequency/Crackling speakers

Issues with my lenovo ideapad 330s Laptop:

    • Crackling speakers sometimes they are silent or in other cases they stay quiet no matter the volume.
    • Crackling in earbuds
    • cannot change sound frequency (grayed out)
Note: The speakers were fine when i got it but after I reset windows theyve started crackling. Ive tried fixing my crackling speakers by:

    • uninstalling/reinstalling device drivers
    • reinstalling windows
    • creating new accounts
    • disabling every driver one at a time to see if that changes anything
    • checking internal cabling to make sure no wires are touching
I still have yet to try changing sound frequency because its grayed out

PS: nothing important is on the computer i dont mind losing anything.

Help would very much be appreciated.
