  1. Crashes to Desktop and Occasional BSOD

    Hi everyone,

Just built a new pc and have been having all my games crash to the desktop, and occasionally getting a BSOD.

Attached are the memory dumps from the bsods.

    2 errors are:

    • DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL caused by hidusb.sys
    • DRIVER_RQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL caused by nvlddmkm.sys

    1 error:

    • IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL caused by ntoskrnl.exe

    1 error:

    • MEMORY_MANAGEMENT caused by ntoskrnl.exe

      URL to dump files: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Atxd6-V6aJO6hQ-zDA8VSQaUYPKr?e=4yPhB4

    Thanks,

    Jonny

Games Crash to Desktop With No Errors (All Games) Occasional BSOD

    Hi re5pfs,

I strongly recommend to request a refund for Driver Booster because it's a program that you don't need. Pretty much all drivers you need you can get from ASUS or Windows Update.

Please run driver verifier using the following settings for 48 hours.
    • Special Pool
    • Force IRQL checking
    • Pool Tracking
    • Deadlock Detection
    • Security Checks
    • Miscellaneous Checks
    • Power framework delay fuzzing
    • DDI compliance checking

Warning: driver verifier could cause boot issues and/or performance issues.

Resetting driver verifier options (recommended in this order)
    1. In normal mode open an administrator command prompt and enter the below command
    2. In safe mode open an administrator command prompt and enter the below command
    3. On 3 boot failures, you'll boot automatically to the recovery options,
      • click Troubleshoot
      • go to the advanced options
      • choose command prompt
      • enter the below command
    4. Boot with the recovery media, see above 4 steps in option 3.
    5. Via the recovery options or recovery media, select a restore point prior enabling driver verifier
    Code:
    Crashed when running driver verifier
    1. Reset driver verifier
    2. Boot in normal mode if necessary
    3. Follow Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions to provide the requested logs

    Thank you.

I'm currently running Prime95 with the Small FFTs test. Thought I'd just do it now before the new RAM is here. So far no errors 20 min in. Will monitor temps and keep it running for 3 hours if no issues occur. Max CPU temp is 77 °C as of now.

    - - - Updated - - -

A bit over 3 hours in and Prime95 is running without errors (Prime95 is still running atm). Max CPU temperature is 78 °C.
By checking the Prime95 results log it seems like it's on its second pass now, going from the 36K self-test up to the 240K test and then starting over again.

    Screenshots and Prime95 log added.

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
