    Crashing to blue screen. "Machine-check exception"


    I've been dealing with my system crashing to the blue screen with the sad face with the following error, "machine-check exception."

    I can always tell when it's about to happen because the fans in my PC get really loud and the system soon freezes for about 10-20 seconds and then crashes to the blue screen.

    I'm monitoring temperatures. Nothing is overheating and my drivers and BIOS are up to date.

    I spoke to someone from Microsoft tech support. They looked at my minidump logs and told me it was an issue with my memory. They told me to either reinstall Windows or replace my memory.

    I ran Windows memory diagnostic and it told me that it found nothing wrong with my memory. So, I guess I want a second opinion before I do anything. I'd really like to avoid reinstalling Windows if I can.

    Hey everyone, so recently I started getting a lot of Machine Check Exception bluescreens and Im not sure what the cause is. Is there a list of steps to figure out what is causing it?

    Blue Screen- Machine Check Exception

    Hi,

    I was recently on my ASUS Vivo book running Windows 10.

    I was told to instal an update, but as my computer was downloading the update, it went to the blue screen with the stop code: Machine Check Exception.

    It is saying that it is collecting error info and it will restart, however this has been the case for around 30 mins now and it is still 0% complete.

    This laptop is only 9 days old, and I do not want to turn it off unless i am told to do so.
