Windows 10: CRC Mismatch

Hi, I have downloaded a file consisting of more parts. There is an app to check the integrity of all parts. I have everything in my smartphone memory. When I copy all these files and run the integrity check in my notebook, everything is ok. If I download the files to a desktop, first 2 (the biggest) files fail the integrity check - CRC Mismatch. I have tried to copy these files more times. The original files in the phone are not compressed. Thanks for any ideas how to solve it, this is not the first time this problem happened.

Does Windows perform CRC when copying files between drives?

Hi.

I have a habit of computing and comparing CRC checksums when copying large or important files between drives. I use one of 7-Zip's context menu functions, mostly CRC-32, and compare the checksums of the file at the source and destination locations.

In some (very) rare cases, the numbers don't match and I copy the file again until they match. I'm suprized that this can happen. Doesn't Windows perform it's own CRC tests when copying files? And if it does, how does it deal with errors?

Why are there sometimes still CRC mismatches when Windows claims copying had been successful?

 

Bios dumped with atitool has bad crc

I just dumped my X800xt 's bios , but when I go to check it with rabit1.7 it say CRC bad ?

The only Bios it shows as having a good CRC is an ATI bios I just downloaded from the list !
I want to make sure my backup copy is OK before I flash it with a different one !
