Windows 10: Create a system image for only the C drive

Hello,


I have Windows 10 installed on Drive C and Virtual Box installed on Drive F which are two physical drives. When I run the 'Create a system image' via Windows 10, Drive C is selected and Drive F too. I've not installed any operating system in Virtual Box, so why would the Windows 'Create a system image' option also select Drive F without the option to deselect it. I'm hoping someone can help me understand why Drive F is selected and if there is a way to deselect it.

Could you elaborate on the Nick's Data? I've already done a Sys Img to G: drive.
What is a Belarc Advisor audit?


Rebooting now to see if drives stay the same.

Thanks for replying to us with the status of your issue.

As you mentioned, when you connect the USB flash drive in to the system then the System image backup is not present. It might occur if the System image files is not created properly or may be it got corrupted.

As an initial steps I suggest you to check for the memory space in the USB flash driver.

If the Memory is occupied in the USB flash drive the I suggest you to try running check disk on USB flash drive and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps to perform Check Disk.

  Press Windows + X on your keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  Type the below commands.
  
  Chkdsk [drive letter]: /f /r

Help, cant create windows image

It seems like some sort of an OS confusion has happened with your secondary WD Black and I'm sorry to hear about that. *Frown
Maybe re-formatting it would help indeed as the community already mentioned. I'd suggest to take a look at this step-by-step how to partition and format an HDD: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=PYCoid
Keep in mind that this will wipe clean the drive, so you should backup all important data from the drive somewhere else.
I noticed from the screenshots that your HDD appears as Disk 0, this means that it's plugged in the primary SATA port where the SSD (as an OS drive) should be. Actually it is possible that because of this Windows cannot create the image there. Swap the ports of the SSD and the HDD, this might help as well.
